I'll stick around

Hey folks,

It's been a while since I've put up any cartoons. I took a much needed vaca to DC. Along with the break, I got presented with an oppurtunity to get a story of mine to be used for a project. Long story short: I'm taking the project on because it may pay me. But that doesn't mean that I'll stop doing my cartoons. It just means that I'm going to have to cut down on my output. So, keep coming back. There 'll be more goodies soon enough.

Hey hey hey

Hey folks,

I got over my bout of fatigue and have lots of goodies on the way: the California same_sex bill veto, NASA's plan for New Orleans and H&M's new clothing line... but, due to some technical difficulties, i can't put up any new cartoons tonight on neither of my blogs:
www.vanillacomix.blogspot.com
www.freynosoart.blogspot.com
www.marshalslaw.blogspot.com
however, there is some good news, i'm going to do a new cartoon series tentatively called "homeslice." it's going to be a new york centric comic. right now, due to my work load, "homeslice" may be a weekly sort of comic. i want to focus more on marshal's law and vanilla. (these 2 are my babies hehehehe)
anyways, thanks to everyone for your support.
oh yeah, i'm going to respond to all your posts when i put new shit up.

oh roberts

i was asked to do this illo for the indypendent, but i had no clue what roberts looks like. at home i had a bunch of papers with his mug plastered all over them. this was my first roberts illo. feeling confident that i've captured some of his face, i did the roberts cartoons that appeared in marshal's law and/ or vanilla.

more gulf wars

my friend and fellow indy folk, arun gupta, came up with the idea for the illo that accompanied a story he wrote.

Freedom Bus

this is another illo i did for the indypendent. when i find the story i'll post it so folks can read it. basically it's the story of some youths who hot-wired a school bus and drove a bunch of folks from new orleans to the superdome. this happened when katrina first hit the south

They are after us

i really enjoyed doing this piece. besides being so simple, it was a chance for me to do an illustration on something that my friends at work and i have talked about so much. the story was on conspiracy theory and it was published in the indypendent.

Spread Magazine

so this is what i mostly do: social/ political artwork. :)
i did this illustration for spread magazine. i used actual menstrual blood for the print.
